I have always loved travel and taking pictures, and occasionally I have an opportunity to do both. The camera allows me to focus in on details and moments that are often missed by the eye alone. I cannot imagine my life without photographs and have long felt that the camera is in fact a second heart that I am incomplete without. Children's portraits are the primary focus of my professional studio. A child's complete lack of self-consciousness and intrinsic joy and hopefulness makes them an ideal subject. My hope is that I can create a relationship of trust between a child and the camera that allows each one the chance to be themselves and let their personalities shine through. The journey of childhood passes so quickly and portraits become more precious as each stage fades into memory. |
